#2-2: Justin Dingwall

This is one of Justin's works. I think he's done a really fascinating and significant series of work where he's explored taboos against albinism. In a number of countries in Africa, albino people often experience great prejudice and hostility for no other reason than how they look.

This is a collage work, with the same pair of hands repeated multiple times. It is a work about gathering, a work about human connection, a work about togetherness. So here, we see movement as a way to bring people closer together.

"I want to show you that there is beauty in differences. Because a lot of times, people get the cold eye because they're different. And I love people who are funny, quirky, and want to be themselves.” —Justin Dingwall
