“To reflect the importance accorded pets in the contemporary family, I portray them in the same way that I capture humans. At the same time, by elevating their portraits, I am honoring the love and devotion animals give to their human companions.

Through my Cone of Shame series, I transform the pet dog’s post-surgery humiliation into something beautiful and majestic - making the collars and the dogs within them works of art.”

Winnie Au’s fine art photography portrays the exalted role pets play in our lives. Winnie currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her basset hound Clementine.
